As you travel north from Yuma, Arizona the Castle Dome Mountains are the next range north of the Gilas. The iconic Castle Dome is actually a butte but it’s still is the highest peak in the range at 3,780 feet (1,152 m). As a panorama photographer I made it a point to include Thumb butte and Thumb peak in all of the Castle Dome images I’ve recorded.
